Is the public demo still available?
The public demo period ended on September 25, 2026, and the demo branch was removed. The earlier demo does not accurately represent the launch version.
Played the Steam demo before release?
- Right-click the game in your Steam Library.
- Open Properties → Game Versions & Betas.
- Choose Default Public Version.
- Launch the game and select New Game.
A Continue button can appear because an old demo save is present. It does not mean the save is compatible with the release. Old demo progress can cause progression problems, so begin a new adventure rather than relying on that button.
Keep any old save separately if you want to preserve it. You do not need an unofficial demo installer to follow these steps.
